William E. Wilson, MD
Spine Surgery

Dr. William Wilson is from Chester, South Carolina and has been practicing in Charleston, South Carolina since 1995. He majored in Biology at Presbyterian College and received his medical degree from The Medical University of South Carolina in 1989. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at The University of Louisville and a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the Leatherman Spine Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.

He treats conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine including degenerative disease, herniated disc, spinal stenosis, spinal deformity, instability and scoliosis. He performs discectomies, fusions, spinal reconstructions, disc replacements, and robotic surgery.

He works as a member of the Spine Specialists at Lowcountry Orthopaedics which includes conservative management, physical therapy, bracing, pain management, and spine sugery. He performs surgical procedures at several hospitals and Lowcountry Orthopaedics Outpatient Surgery Center. He works with Physician Assistants Virginia Blease and Kimberly Kay.
